FARMERS can never afford to waste money. With the increasing cost of electricity and water, now is the time to look at energy saving opportunities and renewable energy.
Under the RDPE Northwest Livestock Programme farmers can take advantage of a grant-aided Water and Energy Assessment. Farmers who have a Resource Audit could reduce their water and energy costs by 20%.
Plus, if the recommendations of our plan include capital investment, you may be eligible to apply for a Performance Grant.
A Resource Audit would typically cover:
- Water Saving Opportunities
- Energy Saving Opportunities by using more Energy efficient equipment
- Options for renewable Energy
The cost of the plan is partly funded by the RDPE Northwest Livestock Programme. Participating farmers will pay £150 (plus VAT) towards the overall cost.
