BPEX, working with Animal Health and Trading Standards, have developed a way to send your AML2 and FCI information electronically - cutting out all that form filling and duplication.
The British Pig Executive have successfully trialled the system over the past four months with a range of businesses and would now like to invite other online FCI users to give the system a go.
All you have to do is set up a movement as you do for FCI, print off a summary to give to the haulier and then send a simple text message when you load the pigs onto the wagon.
No need for any form filling, no more keeping paper records, automatic MHS inspection results will be sent to you, you can even request live updates on when loads leave you farm and are unloaded at the abattoir
So far in the trial we have sent over 800 movements to assured abattoirs from large multi site operators as well as smaller site family businesses.
