THE third National Cattle Mobility Event - this now popular annual event is a must for anyone looking to control the age old problem of bovine lameness on-farm.
The latest research and advice on how to reduce lameness will be presented by industry experts.

The morning session will include two keynote presentations:• Cattle lameness and the ‘FirstStep®’ programme - Professor Nigel Cook, University of Wisconsin.
• How genetics affects mobility and locomotion - Dr Mike Coffey, leader of SAC’s Animal Breeding Group.
Following lunch, there will be a number of practical sessions and demonstrations, including:• Foot trimming and disease identification
• Environmental factors affecting lameness
• Mobility versus locomotion - what’s the difference?
• Parlour improvements and foot bathing
Delegates will also have the opportunity to look around the College’s world famous Genus MOET herd, and visit trade stands to gather information on the latest products, equipment and services.
The event opens at 9am, with the first presentation at 10-30am, and will finish at approximately 3-30pm. Each delegate will receive a comprehensive delegate pack. Refreshments on arrival and a hot buffet lunch will be provided.
