Demo Event: Slurry - a valuable but underated resource! - Turton, Bolton, Lancashire

COME along to this FREE demonstration event to find out more about how you can work out the nutrients supplied by your slurry and create a fertiliser plan to take this into account. You may be surprised by how much you can save!

Where: Birches Farm, Birches Road, Turton, Bolton, Lancs BL7 0HX
(By kind permission of Mr Andy Paton)

When: Tuesday 29th June 10-30am to 2-30pm

Most dairy farms produce vast quantities of slurry each year and it is often viewed as a waste product to be disposed of as quickly and easily as possible.

However, as a very valuable source of nutrients for grass growth when treated and applied in the correct way, it can greatly reduce the amount of artificial fertiliser that is needed - saving time and money.

Speakers / Demonstrations include:

- Mark Tripney of Matrix Ag - consultant specialising in nutrient management

- EnviroSystems - using SlurryBugs and SlurryBooster to increase the value of your slurry

- Tried and Tested - paper-based system of nutrient budgeting

- FWAG will be carrying out FREE slurry testing to help you work out the actual nutrient content of your slurry

- A chance to look at a slurry injection system (courtesy of agricultural contractor Kevin Ormisher)
