Alternative Water Supplies - Chipping, Lancashire

Weigh up cost-effective ways to make the most of natural water sources at this FREE demonstration event

Water is an essential input on all livestock farms. The rising cost of mains water combined with the increasing frequency of water shortages means that more of us are looking towards alternative sources of water and making more of any water that is freely available.

Come along to this FREE demo event and find out about alternatives to mains water and how you can use water more sustainably on your farm to improve profitability.

When: Tuesday 1st May 10.45am registration (for 11am start) until 2.30pm
Where: Laund Farm, Bowland with Leagram, Chipping, Preston PR3 2GS (by kind permission of the Stott family)

Explore the potential for harvesting rainwater and utilising it effectively, as well as the different methods of water extraction (ram pump, pasture pump, solar pump, borehole and rainwater harvesting) available for providing drinking water for livestock.
